Robert Browning
The year's at the spring,
And day's at the morn;
Morning's at seven;
The hill-side's dew-pearl'd;
The lark's on the wing;
The snail's on the thorn;
God's in His heaven--
All's right with the world!

Browning is at once the most modern and most historical of the Nineteenth Century poets. For some reason, I’ve never had to teach him and completely missed him on the way through uni; so I really only knew him through the anthologies. That is, until Possession sparked my interest. He challenges, but also delights.
