Fed-up families drop homework down the pecking order (The Sydney Morning Herald, 21 Sep 2011, Page1)

A hardy perennial, this debate is worth revisiting and I am tickled that this time it seems to have some grounding in theory and data. Fascinating that, anecdotally and in my experience, primary schools set more homework that do junior secondaries. This article points to the lack of value-adding in homework – good to see John Hattie engaged in the debate.
