Educational Technology and Mobile Learning: google forms
Free resource of educational web tools, 21st century skills, tips and tutorials on how teachers and students integrate technology into education
I’ve spent far too many hours testing professional-level survey instruments and I keep getting requests to trouble-shoot surveys for people. Google forms is, for me, an example of how a simple tool is often the best option for a job. Unless you need access to analytics within the tool or site, then Forms is a godsend, and if you do need to carry out something complex, then it is a simple matter to export the responses to Excel or SAS or whatever else you want to use to jazz up your report.
We do need to master data in our profession, but we don’t need to be research scientists. An accessible tool makes teachers want to use it and this provides an incentive to collect the data and use to to inform learning.
