Fireworks @ the Tower
I’m sitting in the Champ de Mars, cold as charity because my gloves are off, but enjoying a spectacular view.
The fireworks were a non-event, but the tower was spectacular. The best shots are on the SLR so I can’t upload them yet, but the lack of pyrotechnics was more than made up for by the locals. The night was a succession of bangs and wooshes: the couple beside us coolly finished swigging their champagne and started setting off rockets.
If we could get the Foti Brothers here, it would definitely be the greatest city in the world.
